Tour Guides will meet, greet and provide tours to CTC pre-booked cruise lines guests, as well as Stay-over and residential guests. This position will report to the Tour Guide Supervisor. During weekends Tour Guides are also assigned to drive the Shuttle Bus. This is a part-time position which will be required to work on weekends on rotation base on the schedule provide to them by the Tours and Quality Assurance Manager.
Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensures that all visitors have paid entrance fees by verifying wristbands.
Report all discrepancies to the Tour & Quality Assurance Manager in a timely manner for resolution.
Conduct tours of the Turtle area in approximately 20-25 minutes, which includes stops at the Breeding Pond, Crocodile enclosure, Display tanks, Wading Pool and Touch tanks
Maintain relevant park information and training especially the Aquila Tour Guide certification.
Monitor the ITO’s for accuracy of the Tour Guide script and report any ITO who is not following the script to the Quality Assurance and Tour manager.
Follow Turtle handling protocols and also help monitor ITO’s for same.
Ensure guests are told about the other exhibits in the park especially the Turtle lagoon and where they are to proceed to collect their snorkel gear and life vest.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed
Essential Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
Ability to fluently speak at least two languages including English and must be able to speak, French, Italian, or German is required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
At least one year of related experience in the Hospitality industry
At least one year of previous customer service experience
Must have and maintain valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured under our fleet vehicles.
Interpersonal and communication skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Excellent oral communication is required.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and starting salary will be on Grade 2 Point 3: KY $13.65 per hour
