The Retail Sales Clerk (RSC) greets customers in the store or at checkout register and obtains or receives merchandise and processes various types of cash register transactions for those customers visiting the retail store. In addition, the RSC cleans, stocks shelves counters, and/or tables with merchandise in accordance with established store standard.
Education & Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to process transactions through POS register system will be an asset.
Should possess good time management skills.
Should possess good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and suppliers.
Should be a team worker and be able to carry out tasks effectively and efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment and access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register areas.
