Volunteers must be at least sixteen years of age. CTCECAnimal Care volunteers must be at least eighteen years of age and have graduated from high school. No experience is necessary and training will be provided.
( Please Note: If you are under 16 years of age, your application will still submit, but you will not be eligible if this requirement is not fulfilled. )

As an education docent, you will be an ambassador for sea turtles by educating visitors about our mission, current sea turtle release programmes, and other conservation efforts. We ask that all education docents are comfortable and willing to help learn and facilitate CTCEC conservation programs. Depending on events taking place at the Centre, programs could include Birthday Parties, Field Trips, Fish Feedings, Guided Tours, Turtle Releases (both Private or Public)Hatchling Releases, and other events. Turtle Release and Hatchling Release volunteers must be active CTCEC volunteers for at least six months prior to the start of sea turtle nesting season and must maintain their weekly shift in addition to these special programs.
Store volunteers assist visitors with their unique gift selections. Outgoing, personable individuals are welcome. A majority of this volunteer position includes facilitating the in-person sea turtle adoption process, and cleaning/inventory may occasionally be needed. Gift Store volunteers will gain practical retail experience while helping the gift store continue its level of success.
Guest services are the first impression of Cayman Turtle Conservation and Education Center (CTCEC) to our visitors. Greeters welcome guests, provide information and answer questions to enhance the (CTCEC) visitor experience. If you are an outgoing individual with a passion for ocean conservation, you are a perfect fit for guest services at (CTCEC)!
Conservation Department volunteers work with staff on ongoing initiatives focused on ocean conservation and pollution prevention. Tasks include Sea Turtle Releases and Hatchling Releases. For more information on this please apply.
