Cayman Turtle Centre - Island Wildlife Encounter
Cayman Turtle Centre staff nominated for the Cayman Islands Tourism Association’s Stingray Awards and shortlisted for the Governor’s Conservation Award.
Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter is pleased to announce that three of its staff have been nominated for the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) awards. Tim Adam, the Centre’s Chief Executive Officer, has been nominated in the ‘Manager for Allied & Transportation’ category, while Rebecca Bush has been nominated for ‘Employee’ in the same category, and Shona McGill has been nominated in the ‘Rising Star’ category.
The awards recognize individuals who have contributed significantly in their roles, as well as the Cayman Islands tourism industry in general.
CITA Executive Director Tiffany Dixon-Ebanks said, “The Steering Committee for this year’s Stingray Awards are truly excited about the upcoming event and look forward to celebrating the magic of tourism with so many talented individuals who exhibit Caymankind daily. Whomever wins, I believe each nominee should feel very proud that their colleagues put them forward for this prestigious recognition.”
The theme of this year’s awards night is ‘Celebrating the Magic of Tourism,’ and all members of the community are invited to attend the awards gala on Tuesday, 23 July, at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
In addition, the Cayman Turtle Centre has been nominated as a finalist in the 4th bi-annual Governor’s Conservation Awards. The awards recognize people and businesses within the local community that have demonstrated an active role in the fields of historic preservation and environmental conservation across all three Cayman Islands within the last 10 years.
