Aviary Sales Benefit Local Conservation Initiatives
02Jan 2015

January 2nd, 2015……While the Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter has several in-house conservation programs of our own, we also reach out to help other conservation initiatives in the Cayman Islands.

At our Caribbean Free-Flight Aviary (which has pioneered release programmes for both the Cayman Parrot and the White Crown Pigeon), the proceeds from the sale of bird feed to guests hand-feeding our birds are being donated to other local conservation organisations.

For the quarter October to December 2014, the beneficiary is the Blue Iguana Recovery Programme: http://www.blueiguana.ky/

Aviary Hand feeding for visitors takes place from 10AM – 3PM daily.

For more information and admission rates, call the Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter on 949-3894, email info@turtle.ky or visit www.turtle.ky (ENDS)
