August 25, 2014… During August, as the Caribbean/Atlantic hurricane seasons heads into one of its traditionally busiest months, the Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter conducted a Hurricane Drill.
Emphasising the importance of staying prepared, Chief Infrastructure Officer Christopher Jackson led the staff of all departments through the drill, which was conducted successfully.
The Cayman Turtle Centre has a comprehensive Hurricane Preparedness Plan, which will be implemented with the pending approach of any weather system.
The core focus of the plan is to ensure the safety of the animals at the Cayman Turtle Centre and to minimize any damage to the park infrastructure.
