CTC Welcomes new intern to Box Office
15Jun 2017

20-year old Rashana Hydes’ confident smile greets the guests as they walk into Cayman Turtle Centre. She is spending the last summer before she graduates as an intern in the CTC Box Office, getting some hands-on experience working on the front line of the tourism industry, her chosen career. “I am studying Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida, so I know a thing or two about customer service,” she said. “I did two years of study at the local college, UCCI, and I am at my second and last year at the UCF so hopefully I will be graduating in December of this year I would like to work in the accommodation side of things – hotels, really,” she said. Being Caymanian means that she will be able to give a more authentic experience to all the people who come to visit, Rashana believes. Almost all the employees at Cayman Turtle Centre are Caymanian. That means that visitors get a taste of the very best the Island has to offer – a taste of the friendliness and care that has made Caymanians world famous.
