Easter weekend is finally here and Cayman residents are excitedly making plans for the traditional long weekend; which means the time is right to discover the adventure at the Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter.
While the adventure park is closed in observance of Good Friday on Friday, 6th April, the fun continues throughout the remainder of the long weekend. The Cayman Turtle Centre is open on Saturday, 7th April from 8:00am through 4:30pm, on Easter Sunday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and on Easter Monday from 8:00am through 4:30pm.
As always, low resident rates will be in effect and will offer full park access for just CI$10 for adults, CI$4 for children 12 years and under, and free admission for children under 4 years – making it an affordable option for a weekend full of family fun.
“The long Easter weekend is the perfect opportunity for local residents to enjoy all that we have to offer at the Cayman Turtle Centre,” said Chief Marketing Officer Tina Trumbach. “With the park being open on Saturday through Easter Monday at regular hours, there’s lots of time for kids to enjoy splashing down the Turtle Twister water slide, checking out the sharks and large barracuda at Predator Reef, saying hello to Smiley the crocodile, or swimming in Turtle Lagoon along with turtles and other marine life. We are also thrilled to announce that our new one of a kind attraction, the Interactive Turtle Encounter, is now open.”
Visitors to the Cayman Turtle Centre will be able to enjoy other features such as hand-feeding the colorful and friendly birds at the Caribbean Free-flight Aviary, strolling down the Nature Trail to view the hidden blue hole cave, and of course, visiting the turtles of all ages and sizes in the Breeding Pond and the turtle tanks including the Wading Pool where guests are allowed to get in, pet and hold yearling turtles for an up close encounter.
Schooners Bar & Grill will be open from 10am through 4pm serving a variety of favorites and visitors can also buy souvenirs of their time at Cayman’s most popular land-based attraction in Splash gift shop.
