October 1st 2014…… On September 29th, the students of the new School of Hospitality Studies at the University College of the Cayman Islands visited the Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter for an in-depth tour of the facility and a luncheon hosted at Schooners restaurant.
Accompanied by Director Wayne Jackson, the students learned about the product and services available to guests coming to the facility – which is the Cayman Islands’ largest land-based tourist attraction with over 230,000 visitors annually.
While on site, the students were greeted by Managing Director Tim Adam, and their tour was conducted by Tour Guide Supervisor Bendel Ebanks.
Several members of the group asked pertinent questions, and learned not only about the experience and services provided to park visitors, but also about the Cayman Turtle Centre’s research and conservation programmes.
Mr. Jackson said afterwards that the entire experience was a truly memorable and greatly appreciated one for the students.
