St. Matthews students take nutritional tour of CTF Aviary
09Mar 2015

Monday, 9 March, 2015…… At Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter, we host students all year round on both educational and recreational visits - and from all levels of education from pre school through to university and graduate school.

In early March, a group of St Matthew's University Veterinary School students toured the Caribbean Free Flight Aviary with our Curator - Terrestrial Programmes and Education Geddes Hislop.

The students are part of the university's Small Animal Wellness and Veterinary Nutrition group.

The tour and presentation focused on the types of birds featured in the Aviary, and how their varied nutritional needs are met by CTF staff.

About 10 students took part in the informative session.

Each year, over 2,000 students visit the Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Widlife Encounter on educational visits. The Cayman Turtle Centre is the Cayman Islands’ most visited land-based attraction, with over 230,000 visitors annually.
