Our hybrid Cayman crocodile “Smiley”.

  • Smiley is 11.5 feet long and weighs well over 300 pounds! She and her crocodile ancestors were originally called “caimans” by early Spanish explorers, from which the Cayman Islands derived its name.
  • Smiley is one of the few remaining Cayman crocodiles. She was rescued by the Centre from destruction back in December 2006, and for her own and for public safety she now calls the Centre her new home.
