Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho once said, "It is the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary."
Imagine, if you could do something extraordinary for your planet by simply picking up #3PlasticsADay.
It is a fact that plastic pollution is devastating our seas and at the same killing innocent wildlife. If we do not act, then by 2050, by weight, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.
Initiated by Cayman's largest land-based attraction, Cayman Turtle Centre, the movement asks you to spare a few minutes to pick up 3 plastic items a day - plastic bags, wrappers, cups, straws or anything that you might find and put them where they belong- in the bin!
While 3 pieces a day might sound like a small number, once the collective power of a group of even five comes together, then that makes a difference. Multiply that by a week or a month and it soon adds up to a considerable number.
Join the movement because #3PlasticsADay will not just make a better world, but it will also inspire a new generation to protect our oceans.
